The more I grow up physically and intellectually, the more I know about the ill effects that our lifestyle and environment places on our body.

To illustrate my point, the most prevalent illnesses we have nowadays are heart attacks, diabetes and cancer. But if you look up history, you'd realize that diseases were the number one cause of death in the early days such as tuberculosis and natural epidemics. People long ago did not die because of a heart failure!

You'd say, "Ok, I get your point. But I can't do anything about it." I say, YES, you can! Take for example. You're starving after your afternoon classes and home is still an hour ride. You look around for places to eat and saw heaven---Jollibee!...just across the street. You hurried to the counter and ordered the biggest, chunkiest meal they offer.

Our everyday choices slowly rob the life out of us...literally!

How come? Fast foods are junk foods that contain little or no nutrients whatsoever. Much like soft drinks or tap water we drink full of chlorine or air we breathe laced with carbon monoxide from industries everywhere or vegies in our meals thick with pesticides.

Our bodies fight this attack everyday but unfortunately we're just not designed to withstand such assault we ourselves made, and in turn conveys the message through UTI, low energy and even diabetes and cancer.

Whew, that's a lot but we can decide to turn back to nature and live a healthier and fulfilling life. That is what all this is about. You will find recipes, concoctions, and sites that promote all natural ingredients for a healthy diet and homemade beauty blends you can make and find in your own kitchen. What's more, this site is created for use of Filipino moms so you can be assured the ingredients are available in your local area.

Oat and Brown Sugar Scrub

The Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. ground oats
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. aloe vera
1 tsp. lemon juice

The Instructions

Mix all ingredients in a clean bowl until you have a smooth paste. Gently massage onto damp skin, and rinse off with warm water. You can triple the recipe for a fantastic smoothing body treatment.

Ground Oats: use rolled oats and a clean coffee grinder or blender to grind the flakes to a fine powder.
